What were your first thoughts when the product arrived?

We already have a lot of products from Learning Resources so have a certain expectation when it comes to quality. We were not disappointed. The apparatus were a good size for little hands, bright colours (which I love) and robust in nature.

How did you use the product?

At our kitchen table we laid all the cards out and had a look round the kitchen to see which ingredients we had that we could use. Then Monkey chose the ones he fancied the most.

What are the educational benefits of the resource?

We have not done many Science experiments at home; it coincided with Science week at school which meant I could reinforce some of the learning. We also discovered he has a passion for these sorts of activities which we hope to encourage further as he gets older.

There are so many benefits it’s hard to list them all but I like the fact he’s learning about how things react to each other, colour mixing, measuring of liquids as well as processes and needing to do things in sequence.

What did you like/dislike about the resource?

I love it all there’s nothing I dislike. It’s the quality I expect and it keeps Monkey entertained for a good hour or so at a time, which for his attention span is amazing! He never bores of the experiments and will happily do them over and over again.

What is the long term appeal of the resource?

This set will grow with him and I am already looking for other experiments we can do thanks to Pinterest. I also like that Learning Resources have other science resources which we can use to expand this set, as and when he’s ready. Like the jumbo test tubes and pipettes.

Is the product unique?

Yes for this age range I think you would struggle to find a more robust well priced science kit with everything you need to start straight away.

Would you recommend this product to a friend?

Without out doubt and have already brought them as gifts for friends and family.
